Tribute mural honoring the late George Floyd. In solidarity with BLM, we volunteered to paint the temporarily placed plywood panels installed to protect a local business from looting. The mural was defaced then repainted and protected, prompting a community effort to seek and enact justice. The mural panels were removed when the business reopened, and was then donated to the Arts Council for Long Beach for future permanent installation. 2 plywood panels.

RA URBAN SCHOOL OF SELF DEFENSE - RISE LIKE A PHOENIX MURAL

This mural features a black heart framing the ascension of a Phoenix as it rises from the flames. In the wake of unrest on May 31 2020, a fire destroyed the physical location of a women-owned business started by her parents. We volunteered to paint the plywood boards with a heartfelt message after the owner requested a mural. The community stepped forward to show support, donating towards for the rebuilding of her new dojo.
